Each and every one of you is an athlete though! There’s no minimum standard you need to meet. If you’re putting time and energy into your training, you’re an athlete, and we approach the process with that belief, confidence and respect.

Together, we’ll build progress in a way that feels sustainable and aligned with your goals. With the added support of in-person studio sessions for bike fitting, running analysis and technical development, you won’t just follow a plan - you’ll understand and refine how you move, train and perform.

In-Person Coaching

The Coaching & Analysis Studio is where we connect the dots between fitness, movement and equipment.

This is the space where we can work together in person with all the insight and guidance on those aspects that only direct coaching and adjustments can provide.

The studio also includes a fully equipped private gym space on-site, with a rowing machine, SkiErg, squat rack and free weights, allowing us to integrate strength and cross-training directly into your development.

Studio sessions include:

  • Bike fitting

  • Running gait analysis

  • Swim technique review

  • Strength & conditioning sessions

  • Progression and refinement sessions

We’ll join the dots between form, technique, kit and conditioning, so you leave with greater efficiency, comfort and confidence in your training.

 
 

Coaching at FitByKam

  • Fully personalised ongoing coaching aligned with your life commitments. Consistency is key, but sustainability is the key to consistency!

  • Planning that weaves together multiple events and disciplines, carefully timing peaks and recovery. Club sessions and group commitments can be integrated seamlessly.

  • Scheduled coaching calls for reflection, decision making and forward planning. Actively supporting and guiding you throughout is a key part of the process. We’ll make sure that time is scheduled for these conversations.

  • Frequent review and feedback, with ongoing coach access for advice, guidance and adjustments. You’ll have changes in your work, life and travel schedule, as well as your evolving fitness and goals. You’re not just left to it.

  • Coaching studio to meet in person when needed. As a coached athlete, you’ll have access to the studio to connect coaching, movement, technique and equipment together.

  • Nutrition and hydration guidance is woven into the process, so you can practise, refine and build confidence in a sustainable fuelling strategy that supports your training, events and life.

  • Strength & conditioning is personalised and integrated - with a private gym space on-site at the studio too. The chassis is as important as the engine!

  • Guidance on kit, gear, preparation, event and race selection, and all the factors beyond your fitness, which are also crucial to your readiness, is an integral part of our discussions along the way.

  • Together we’ll celebrate your successes and tackle any tricky moments head-on. You’ll have a coach who knows you, your training and your context - we’re in it together!

What coaching means at FitByKam…

  • At FitByKam the meaning of a coach is much more than someone who just prescribes training plans and workouts. It’s someone who’s there for you along the journey to help structure, motivate, provide wisdom and add clarity to the overall picture of your training.

    Working with you goes far beyond a training plan and sport-specific preparation for endurance events. Advice and guidance on nutrition, logistics, tech and gear, strength and conditioning and everything else that will build a successful outcome is incorporated into the coaching process.

    It is, and should always be, a guided and collaborative journey where you’re encouraged to have an increasing understanding and ownership of your progress and gain the knowledge of what your training involves and why. It’s about supporting and empowering you to understand the whys and wherefores of your training so you are a confident endurance athlete. The benefit of that process can’t be overstated. The more engaged you are in your training process, the better rounded an athlete you’ll be. A key part of the philosophy is enabling you to make conscious and informed decisions in training, so that you can do this when required in your events.

    Consistency is key… but sustainability is the key to consistency! Setting you up for success with a sustainable structure that is designed around your life and personal needs will enable you to be consistent and reach your goals.

    Training for progression and events is a constantly evolving mental process, as well as a physical one. No mass-produced, off-the-shelf training plan can account for the unique variations and individuality that we all have as starting points and in the way we react to different forms of training, both physically and mentally. You will have questions, general life will of course disrupt your training routine from time-to-time, the weather will also play its part and so will all the peripheral information and self-questioning that comes with thinking about your training, kit and overall preparation. Working together will provide you with experienced and invaluable support and guidance to keep you on track and confidently moving towards your goals.

    As your coach, I’ll go beyond the training plan and workouts. A coach is in tune with the evolving process, information and subtle indicators that tell the broader story of the ebs and flows of your progression. The benefit of the communication and connection when working together adds a holistic and collaborative dynamic to your journey.

    It’s more than just the events we complete - the process and journey to these accomplishments is equally as thrilling - and challenging!  I’ll encourage you to embrace and enjoy this process and journey.
