Expertise in these areas combines to provide personalised endurance coaching for triathlon, cycling, running, swimming and multi-sport events of all distances. Coaching plans encompass all the support you’ll need along your journey, including guidance on nutrition and fuelling, optimising the best tech and kit, and also enhancing your psychological mindset and mental strength.

With a holistic approach, coaching is tailored to support beginners from the ground up and elevate the performance of experienced racers to the next level.

Each and every one of you is an athlete though! No matter your starting point. You’ll be putting time into your training, and together we’ll progress to your goals. With a dedicated coaching studio for additional support with bike fitting, running analysis and coached sessions for key areas of focus in your training, it’s qualitative endurance coaching that is personalised to empower you with clarity and confidence on your journey!

There are no generic or automated plans here. It’s all about you!

Whether you’re just getting started, or a seasoned athlete weaving multiple races and disciplines into your season, as your personal coach, I’ll be there to guide you with a tailored plan and coaching that aligns with your life commitments, ensuring you maximise your available training time. Busy schedules are no obstacle. Likewise, for those with the capacity to train at higher volumes, we’ll work together to make sure you achieve the right balance and piece together the puzzle of your training to maximise your performance!

From the dream to the finish line… and beyond!

  • Completely bespoke and personalised weekly plan crafted and written specifically for you to fit in with your life commitments and time available to train so that you are set up for success. Consistency is key, but sustainability is the key to consistency!

  • Plans weave together your season goals, including managing and timing the preparation and recovery for multiple events and different disciplines as required. Incorporating any of your club and group commitments into the scheduling is also no problem! Integrating your plan into your life is all part of the process.

  • An open line of contact and communication by messages, email and phone for questions, advice and schedule adjustments provides fluid support, clarity and confidence throughout your training.

  • Fortnightly scheduled video calls for qualitative, focused discussion and reflection. Your progression encompasses more than a training plan - supporting and guiding you throughout is an essential part of the process. In addition to the open line of communication, we’ll make sure that time is scheduled for these key conversations.

  • Unlimited adjustments whenever needed to suit changes in your work, life and travel schedule, as well as your evolving fitness and goals.

  • Nutrition and hydration guidance is personalised and discussed within the process so that you practise and master a fuelling strategy for your events in training.

  • Strength & conditioning programme included and structured with a personalised progression.

  • Guidance on kit, gear, logistical preparation, event and race selection, and all the factors beyond your fitness, which are also crucial to your readiness, is an integral part of our discussions along the way.

  • As part of your coaching plan, you’ll have access to special rates on bike fitting, running analysis and progression sessions, as well as the packages detailed on those pages. Bespoke packages for regular studio 1-1 sessions can also be set up to suit your needs.

  • Together we’ll celebrate your successes and tackle any tricky moments head-on. We’ll adjust for those curveballs and focus on what’s valuable to your progress, both physically and mentally. I’m here to help you achieve your goals, while finding balance and building the mental resilience to handle whatever comes your way. You’re not alone in the journey - we’re in it together!

What coaching means at FitByKam…

  • At FitByKam the meaning of a coach is much more than someone who just prescribes training plans and workouts. It’s someone who’s there for you along the journey to help structure, motivate, provide wisdom and add clarity to the overall picture of your training.

    Working with you goes far beyond a training plan and sport-specific preparation for endurance events. Advice and guidance on nutrition, logistics, tech and gear, strength and conditioning and everything else that will build a successful outcome is incorporated into the coaching process.

    It is, and should always be, a guided and collaborative journey where you’re encouraged to have an increasing understanding and ownership of your progress and gain the knowledge of what your training involves and why. It’s about supporting and empowering you to understand the whys and wherefores of your training so you are a confident endurance athlete. The benefit of that process can’t be overstated. The more engaged you are in your training process, the better rounded an athlete you’ll be. A key part of the philosophy is enabling you to make conscious and informed decisions in training, so that you can do this when required in your events.

    Consistency is key… but sustainability is the key to consistency! Setting you up for success with a sustainable structure that is designed around your life and personal needs will enable you to be consistent and reach your goals.

    Training for progression and events is a constantly evolving mental process, as well as a physical one. No mass-produced, off-the-shelf training plan can account for the unique variations and individuality that we all have as starting points and in the way we react to different forms of training, both physically and mentally. You will have questions, general life will of course disrupt your training routine from time-to-time, the weather will also play its part and so will all the peripheral information and self-questioning that comes with thinking about your training, kit and overall preparation. Working together will provide you with experienced and invaluable support and guidance to keep you on track and confidently moving towards your goals.

    As your coach, I’ll go beyond the training plan and workouts. A coach is in tune with the evolving process, information and subtle indicators that tell the broader story of the ebs and flows of your progression. The benefit of the communication and connection when working together adds a holistic and collaborative dynamic to your journey.
